Aurel’in the Wild establishes this Privacy Policy to transparently inform Users of the website hosted at the following address: www.aurelinthewild.com (hereinafter the “Site”), about how personal data is collected and processed by Aurel’in the Wild.

The term “User” refers to any individual or legal entity who visits or interacts in any way with the Site.

In this regard, Aurel’in the Wild determines all technical, legal, and organizational means and purposes of the processing of Users’ personal data. Aurel’in the Wild undertakes to take all necessary measures to ensure that personal data processing complies with the Belgian Law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter the “Law”) and the European Regulation of 26 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the “Regulation”).

Aurel’in the Wild is free to choose any natural or legal person who processes personal data on its behalf (hereinafter the “Processor”). Where applicable, Aurel’in the Wild undertakes to select a Processor providing sufficient guarantees regarding technical and organizational security measures in accordance with the Law and the Regulation.

2. Processing of Personal Data

Use of the Site may result in the collection of personal data. The processing of such data by Aurel’in the Wild, as Data Controller, or by service providers acting on its behalf, shall comply with the Law and the Regulation.

Personal data will be processed by Aurel’in the Wild for the purposes listed below:

In accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation, the purposes of personal data processing are communicated to the User as follows:

4. Personal Data That May Be Processed

The User consents, when visiting and using the Site, to Aurel’in the Wild collecting and processing, under the terms and principles described in this Privacy Policy, the following personal data:

  • username or display name
  • comments posted on the blog
  • IP address associated with comments

In all cases, the retention period does not exceed: 13 months

7. Recipients and Disclosure to Third Parties

Personal data may be transferred to employees, collaborators, processors, or suppliers of Aurel’in the Wild who provide adequate data security guarantees and who cooperate in the marketing or provision of services.

These parties act under the direct authority of Aurel’in the Wild and are responsible for collecting, processing, or subcontracting such data.

Recipients of data shall comply with this Privacy Policy. Aurel’in the Wild ensures that data is processed only for the intended purposes, in a confidential and secure manner.

If data is disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, the User will be informed in advance and asked for consent.

Where data has been made public, reasonable steps will be taken to inform other controllers to delete links or copies.

This does not apply where processing is required for legal obligations, public interest, or legal claims.

d. Right to Restriction of Processing

The User may request restriction of processing under the conditions defined by the Regulation.

e. Right to Data Portability

The User has the right to receive their data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller.

f. Right to Object

The User may object to processing based on their situation, including profiling.

In case of objection for direct marketing, data will no longer be processed for such purposes.
